Starting Where You Are
Hi, I’m Erika. I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) practicing under clinical supervision. If you’re looking for support, I’m glad you found your way here. Looking for a therapist is already an incredibly brave and meaningful step to take for yourself.
You might be navigating something difficult, feeling anxious or overwhelmed, struggling in your relationships, adjusting to change, or simply feeling ready to understand yourself a little bit better. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t need to have anything else figured out before you begin.
My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself, talking openly, and exploring what you’re experiencing without judgment. Together, we can work toward understanding the patterns, emotions, relationships, and experiences influencing how you feel today, while finding ways forward that align with where you’re headed.
Therapy for Children, Teens, Adults & Couples
I work with children ages 10+, teens, adults, and couples with concerns regarding:
- Anxiety, worry, and overthinking
- Stress and feeling overwhelmed
- Self-esteem, confidence and insecurity
- Perfectionism and high expectations
- Emotional regulation and coping skills
- School, social, workplace, and family stress
- Life transitions and adjustment
- Career changes and professional stress
- Identity, self-discovery, and changing priorities
- Relationship and communication challenges
- Interpersonal and family patterns
- Boundaries and people-pleasing
- Personal growth and finding greater meaning or direction
What brings someone to therapy can look very different at various stages of life, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
My Background & Experience
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent nearly 15 years working in the software technology industry. That experience gave me firsthand insight into demanding work environments, career pressure, performance expectations, changing professional identities, and the challenge of balancing work with personal life.
It also shaped my interest in people and human behaviour and the different ways our relationships, environments, experiences, and internal/external expectations can impact how we see ourselves and navigate the world, both personally and professionally.
A Collaborative Approach to Therapy
I strive to create a warm, collaborative, and tailored approach to each individual. I draw from modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Attachment-Based approaches.
I don’t believe therapy needs to look exactly the same for everyone. Some clients benefit from practical strategies and concrete goals, while others need space to slow down, make sense of their experiences, or understand patterns that keep showing up in their lives and relationships.
Together, we’ll figure out what feels most useful for you.
