Professional Bio
Hi, I’m Maggie! I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), currently practicing under clinical supervision. I am completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University and hold an Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology from St. Lawrence College.
I see therapy as a space to slow things down, get curious, and make sense of the experiences that have shaped who you are and how you move through the world. You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. I aim to meet you where you are, offering a space that feels genuine, collaborative, and free of judgement as we explore what’s going on beneath the surface and what you might need moving forward.
I support individuals navigating emotional, relational, and life challenges, with a particular interest in understanding how past experiences and relationships can continue to shape the present. I take an integrative approach to therapy and am particularly drawn to Dialetical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic approaches, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), tailoring therapy to each person and their unique needs.
I have a growing clinical interest in trauma-informed care and supporting individuals impacted by trauma and PTSD, particularly first responders and veterans. Having grown up in a family with first responders, I have a personal appreciation for the unique demands these roles can place on individuals and their families. As I continue to grow as a clinican, I
am passionate about pursuing further training in trauma-focused approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and neurofeedback.
I consider it a privilege to be invited into someone’s story. My hope is to create a space where you feel supported in better understanding yourself, exploring patterns that may no longer serve you, and working toward meaningful and sustainable change.
